Remy Giannico: Etching the World of wine
Remy's inks and imagery together, give a sense of having been wafted through a tardis or time-portal of unknown origin. Each plate has been etched with a markedly different sense of abstraction than the previous. Sneak a quick preview via the artist's social media here, and a reel of the event invite, here.
Raymond “Chucky” Flores : Fast Life, Still Life
"These paintings represent stillness and self-imposed quarantine during a time of recovery and rest. They are a departure from the artist's day-to-day work in hand-painted mural advertisement, and turn away from the branding and commodification of everyday foods and household items. The items and themes chosen for these paintings create a rhythm representing health, addiction, reward, recovery and sustenance.
jasper patch: photos at work
Waterbury Wine & Spirits very first photo exhibit featured photographs taken by Jasper Patch spanning the past decade while at work painting billboards. Recording daily life, and coworkers. It’s a rare look into life lived outdoors. Hanging above the streets, and in public view. Surrounded by paint cans, and sometimes stuck in a downpour.
Watercolors on Waterbury
The first art to hang on our shop walls was commissioned by longtime friend, Jasper Patch – a mixed media artist and photographer working out of Manhattan. Jasper ran with a few design concepts and produced three distinct watercolors. The initial cornerstone piece was inspired by a Lee Ufan painting From Line, keeping with the same underlying style but looking to capture the infinite shades of wine and short list of production terms & soil types.
